



- BJ Magnets designs and manufactures a serie of high-strength chute magnets also called Spout Magnets, suitable for a range of applications including but not limited to the protection of grinders, mills, extruders, etc…
- BJ Magnets’ Chute magnets or Spout Magnets have robust magnetic plates that are placed behind a stainless steel (extractor) plate. The magnets attract the ferrous particles, which are then held securely against the extractor plate.
- BJ Magnets’ Chute Magnets cleaning is performed with the use of an extractor plate (for quick cleaning), by swinging the extractor plate away from the magnet. The ferrous particles fall off the extractor plate as soon as they are moved far enough away from the magnet.
- BJ Magnets’ Chute magnets are easy to install and can deliver satisfactory results – With a deep field capability of magnetic flux in the intensive coercive force of the magnetic plate, the entire equipment gains far superior control on foreign ferrous metal debris; thus increasing the protection of manufactured products.
PRODUCTS
Chute Magnets or Spout Magnets consist of a hinged plate attached to a housing. This allows for simple installation by removing a section of the spouting and replacing with the angled Spout Magnet. This is especially helpful when installing this type of separator in flat or a round spout.
APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS
A Chute Magnet or Spout Magnet can be provided with a round inlet and outlet openings of which transition to the rectangular flows through areas where the plate magnet is attached. The Plate magnet is hinged, latched, and gasketed for easy access and cleaning. The Chute Magnet or Spout Magnet is engineered to remove fine to large ferrous contaminants from high volume gravity fed product streams.
- High intensity Rare Earth magnets, which comes in nickel coated. Also available in ceramic either, if necessary nevethless.
- Manufactured to fit various pipelines ranging from 50mm – 350mm diameter, our Chute or Spout Magnet comes with flanges to suit square and round pipelines, for installation.
- Hygienic sealed with quick release door; our magnet is absolutely easy to clean.

Inside the stainless-steel housing is a powerful cylindrical shaped magnet with a cone shaped nose. As a material enters the housing, the nose of the cone diverts the material around the cylindrical magnet where it passes through the magnetic field and ferrous contaminants are drawn to the magnetic surface.
Ferrous contaminants are safely held in place as the cleaned product exits out the opposite end of the housing. To clean the captured ferrous contaminants, the access door must first be removed from the housing by opening the latches then, remove the magnetic element from the stripper shell and set aside.
The Ferrous debris contaminants would have fallen on the housing door where it can now safely be discarded. After that, the magnetic element has to return to the stripper shell and be installed on the housing. Once you have securely latched the door and assemble the magnet to the housing, you can now resume conveying the product.

All our Magnetic Separator Equipment are designed, manufactured and supplied under observation of the principles of the HACCP International Food Safety Standard 0909MAGSEP 1-2010. Moreso, to the bargain of their effectiveness, the internal and external aspect of the magnetic equipment is produced according to the food health and safety standard in terms of the building materials; which is austenitic stainless steel of grade 304 or 316. Thereof upon completion, a certificate of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) which is valid for 12 months is issued; in which case the equipment shall not be subjected to the anual validation.
